A few pictures of significance

These pictures contain one image (the fighting Topi) that has won two awards and the Heron was taken in New Zealand.

Worcestershire Young Photographer of the year 2012

This image won the worcestershire young photographer of the year competition 2012. I took it in Ghana a few years a go, it proves the point that you do not need to have fancy camera to take great pictures as this image was taken with a cheap bridge camera.

Photographs

The recent holiday was not the best for photographs however it did produce an impressive list of birds from fair isle, including a common crane. It was a very timely visit from the crane as it appeared in the evening after the Ranger's Crane talk. Other highlights included an Arctic Redpoll and a Woodcock that we're both good enough to be caught and ringed. Unfortunately the Woodcock was caught twice in the morning, but the Redpoll was an unringed bird.
Also there happened to be a Merlin on trap round yet that was not caught at all.

The magic of photoshop is really amazing. This photo is of a puffin but I have converted the background to black and white to improve the focus.
