The recent holiday was not the best for photographs however it did produce an impressive list of birds from fair isle, including a common crane. It was a very timely visit from the crane as it appeared in the evening after the Ranger's Crane talk. Other highlights included an Arctic Redpoll and a Woodcock that we're both good enough to be caught and ringed. Unfortunately the Woodcock was caught twice in the morning, but the Redpoll was an unringed bird.
Also there happened to be a Merlin on trap round yet that was not caught at all.
